The Majestic Sorry!

Is sorry, A word of gratitude, feeling, gesture, or a meaningful word?

Above all, it has the highest power. “Sorry” is the king of all words.

This one word can avoid the fall of an empire, a big fight, or the breaking of a relationship. It could even make something better than before.

This simple word can give you satisfaction and peace.

How many disputes have been avoided by just saying a simple word ‘sorry’?

By simply saying sorry, you acknowledge someone in front of you by showing that you are kind and respect the others’ feelings.

A person, who says sorry for his mistakes, shows that he has no arrogance, hate or cruelty.

The more that you use this word, the more you feel enlightened in your heart.

Anil was a kind man. His daughter, Katrina, had always treated him badly, and often never worked hard. They lived in the village of Bhopal, and tried to get along with each other the best they could.

One day, Anil was walking down the road carrying a jug of milk, when his neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Gupta, accidentally bumped in to him. As a result, Anil spilled his milk and looked down at the ground in horror. “We’re so sorry!” Mr. Gupta exclaimed. It’s alright, replied Anil in a kind voice, though he was angry at them for destroying all the hard work that he had endured by bringing the milk on his way.

A few hours later, Anil had asked his daughter to do a couple of chores. As usual, Katrina refused and started making a fuss. Anil, now angrier than ever from having a terrible day, had enough. Katrina! Anil yelled at the top of his voice! Stop being so lazy! Katrina, shocked by how much his father had changed started to cry. Anil then realized that he had hurt Katrina’s feelings. I’m sorry, Anil said in a shameful voice. Katrina looked up.

Why, Anil? She sobbed. Why are you so angry at me? Look Anil said as he got calmer. I am truly sorry. I was having a bad day from the start and was getting angrier by the hour. When I saw that you refused I forgot how ice I used to be, and immediately lost my kindness. Can you ever forgive me?

You know what? Katrina said as she stopped sobbing. I’m the one who should be sorry. For all these years, I have been treating you so badly. I have been lazy, mean and should have been responsible I know that I wasn’t the best daughter but from now on, I will be.

Anil, glad from what Katrina said, smiled. I’m proud of you daughter. As time then progressed the relationship between Katrina and Anil, and even the neighbors, got smoother. Anil stayed a kind man, Katrina became a hardworking student, and the neighbors tried their best to keep their relationship to the best of their ability.

Now that you have seen a real life example, you know that when you tell one how sorry you are, you express yourself and make the person who you hurt feel better in some way. If you are extremely kind, your sorry might just trigger friend ship in the one that you are talking to. That is why sorry is so majestic. It is what builds friendship.

Is change in life a necessity or an obstacle?

Have you ever thought why there are so many changes in life? Well yes, you are used to some changes, for example growing up is a change and sometimes you don’t think too much about it. If you go a level deeper you would know that changes are supposed to be a part of this heavenly life. Each and everything that exists has to go through the circle of life and death.

Today we had gone to see ship. We looked at the ship captain’s room, and a thought came to my mind. In this room, there was a live person commanding and living few years back and now it’s all empty and lifeless. Why so, I tried to envision the time when 3000 people were on this ship and commands were being followed. I could envision Captains voice and other ship crew following his commands but now looking at the emptiness it felt like so much has changed now.

Similar to this, in life there are always changes but let them happen you just need to play the role of envisioned. Just see them as they go through you. Change could be external or internal. It’s all in your mind, actually there is nothing happening. All that occurs in life is for a reason and you should let it happen and then let it go.

Often people try to stand like a wall against changes and put all their energies in fighting against the change, but why so because it becomes their ego problem. As you see in politics there are people who even fight against good change as they are insecure to let that change happen. May be it they think, will take their power away. Again it’s all in their minds and the reality is so different.

Times and again change has been a factor or fear whether it’s is a workplace change, an office change, home change or an event. Let’s take marriage as an example it’s filled with changes. Have you ever thought that this word marriage occurs in many peoples life’s and things that are expected  also happen ,but if you fight against it, then your life becomes more difficult and if you just let them happen and try to raise to a level of envisioned the you will then just let them happen.
All traditions relationship’s like, husband- wife, mother-daughter in law’s and father –son in law’s are a part of changes taking place due to marriage.
Just like stagnant water created diseases so does a stagnant life. Flowing water is fresh and beautiful.
Well then wake up my friends and don’t be afraid of any change. Live through it.
